Last night was the Heroes and Villains party in celebration of our (KAOS') glorious lady-dictator, and it was all pretty damn brilliant. Lots of fantastic costumes and good company and half a bottle of tequila within my soul. Oooooh yeeeeeah. (I was not costumed. I was lazy. I am always too lame for costumes even though costume parties make me ridiculously happy.)

In the afternoon before that Alison and W00t and I went to Armageddon where I fought my way through the crowds to reach the comic table, because I sure as hell wasn't letting those teenage boys keep control of it. My swag: 2 Ms Marvel,4 Wonder Woman, 3 Uncanny X-Men, 1 Mighty Avengers and 7 She-Hulk. (One of which has this sexy cover.)

Today I have spent feeling a little hungover and watching season 2 Battlestar. Does it get better than this? I think not, people.
I talked to my little brother on the phone today. In my mind he's seventeen still but he's turning twenty-one in March. It's all wrong. He sounds like a grown up man-person and he's about six-four apparently.

He and his girlfriend have been together for five years in April, and he told me he's going to propose then. They're also trying for a baby.

My face = :O to every single thing in this post.

Although he's apparently a big BSG fan which means we have something in common for what might be the first time ever.
I needed a new layout because Katee is preeeetty. All the Starbuck ones I made failed too badly to live so I had so stay with out of character.

Alison left her phone here and she just got a text. I am going to be sneaky and check what it says. Awww, is just from Catherine. That's not so exciting since she lives here and all. *pout*

I'm stalling going over to the dairy to get milk.

Behold my stalling.

Peter's house totally has my licorice allsorts. Bastardly house. Stealing my candy.
Alina introduced me to the music of Jill Tracy, who I can't really describe other than she's sort of eerie, and 40's-esque, and writes songs with lines like but, my dear, it's worth the pain/when you're pulling your insides out and makes it sound deliciously elegant and seductive. So pretty!

Clare is watching BSG and I am listening to (well, reading) her various excited sounds over MSN to the things happening. It's great fun!

Last night Ness brought over 'A Very Potter Musical', recorded directly from YouTube (oh, technology!) to show us and we all almost died at how adorable Voldemort and Quirrel were together because they were awesome best buds. It was quite entertaining. (And they could all sing well, as opposed to certain recent renditions of RENT that may have hurt my ears.)

After we dropped Ness home, we drove up the hills singing along to Amanda Palmer and once there I got to see Christchurch all spread out and lit up for the first time since I've lived here. (I've only ever been up there during the day - It's very pretty with all the sparkling nighttime lights.) We also got the watch the moon rise from there while we ate licorice all sorts. Pretty damn good night.

Jennifer! This is for you :)
We just watched the last episodes of Battlestar Galactica ever.

asdfghjkl; !!! D: D: OH SWEET UNMERCIFUL JESUS, YOU KILL ME DEAD, BSG.

I HAVE NEVER CRIED SO MUCH OVER A TELEVISION SHOW.

EDIT: BSG picspam the girls wanted linked
Battlestar Galactica spoilers for episodes up to 4.13 )

So, in short? This season pwns me and Starbuck is still my hot hot girlfriend.

EDIT: THIS is the best BSG mechanise EVER. Well, okay, except for the LIFESIZE Centurion Robot (!!!) But then, that does cost $8500 (US) which is slightly out of most people's price range when it comes to TV show collectables.
Tonight we had our LFoD Christmas get together since the actual day didn't work for all of us. Which means early presents FTW.

I am sitting wearing a shirt with a big Obama face printed on it and I've been making it nom on things for the sake of hilarity. It's awesome. I also got DVDs (Alison and I may have gone halves on season one of BSG and had it as a shared present...) as well as a Camelot calendar (Waterhouse, I ♥s you!) and the coolest book ever on Gothic homemaking written by Voltire. (OMG, thank you so freaking much, Clare! We love it!)

And now Jen has stolen my hair straightener so she can take it away to the coast with her. Now they sound like they're talking about porn outside my door...
I knew there was a reason I was avoiding the Firefox update that my computer wanted me to have. Why do computer things always try to make things 'easier' by making them more convoluted and complicated? Argh. Computers make me sad. This basically boils down to CIRCE DOESN'T DEAL WELL WITH CHANGE ON AN INTERNET LEVEL. I will, however, find a way to continue living.

What does not make me sad though is Battlestar Galactica. No, in fact that makes me very very happy. Sometimes in my pants. Raen and I are about seven eps into season two and have come to the mutual consensus that we would mostly definitely do Number Three (Lucy Lawless with blonde hair should be a travesty, and yet hel-lo.) and Starbuck. (Starbuck doing her thing with the boxing bag in 'Final Cut'? Hot as hell, baby. I love a woman who can kick arse.)

And Gaius. Can't forget Gaius, that narcissistic, womanising glasses-wearing fox of a man.

New sci-fi addictions make me a very happy young lady, I have to say.

And in real life matters, I believe there's drinking of a pirate-related nature at Sequoia's tonight? Maybe? If so then we'll be there, although I find myself far too lazy to do anything involving dressing up. I'll wear clothes, and that's all I can promise you.
