This morning when I woke at the unholy hour of 6am I got up and stumbled about my room in the dark muttering hairband, where's a freaking hairband? (My cats steal them. I keep having to buy more cause the little fluffers keep stealing them! I have no idea where the hell they take them.) I finally stopped ranting when I found one and pulled my hair up. Then I went to the waredrobe to search for socks and something comes whizzing past my ear from behind me, hits the waredrobe door and bounces off onto the floor.

A hairband.

I checked my hair, thinking that one must have bounced off, but no, hairband still in place. I picked up the one on the floor, turned around and looked around the room wondering where the hell it came from. So instead of wondering more and stressing my brain I said "I already found one, but thanks!" and went out to get some breakfast.

Odd.

Well now you know what your cats have been doing with your headbands - practicing their aim with slingshots apparently (For some reason, this makes me think of Eddie Izzard's routine about Pavlov's cats "Day One: Rang bell. Cat fucked off. Day Two: Rang Bell. Cat answered door.")

That reminds me of an incident in primary school, where a book me and my friends were looking for (not the exact book, but one of the same series) fell off the shelf behind it. We all blinked, and kind of scarpered.

I loose hairties all the time to, but I don't think it's my cats, it's just me putting them in silly places and forgetting about them. All the ones I have at the moment are ones that Daze and Mari have given me.

You know, I had a dream about you last night. You were lying on your bed reading so you couldn't see me, and I tried to steal your shoe. I had it half unbuckled when you tackledglomped me. Then we watched Xena (with goth!Gabrielle) with a couple of your friends, who had freaky haircuts (a bit like dream!Gabrielle)

I've seen the cats do it. They jump up on my desk, grab a hairband, and then jumpdown and leave the room. And I'm all 'hey!'

That is very odd. Veeeeery odd. It reminds me of how my notebooks disappear, then reappear. I'll be writing in a notebook, then leave it somewhere, and I'll come back a few weeks later, and it is nowhere. And then, I'll find it under my bed, even if I left it in the dining room.
